2022.01.17 01:22 Difficult_Flower6796 Passed FE Electrical and Computer This course for FE Electrical and Computer was absolutely helpful to review the material learned in undergrad. The practice exams offered, in addition to the official NCESS practice, were vital in my experience.
Regarding general topics that will appear on every exam (Mathematics, Ethics, and Engineering Economics), it is worth understanding to do as many correctly as possible. They account for 30-35 questions and these topics are easier to learn than others on the exam.
The rest of the exam is major specific but a broad range of topics are covered. I did not learn about some of these topics at all in undergrad. Here, I would recommend skipping topics that are unfamiliar and focus on mastering the topics that are familiar.

2022.01.17 01:22 Murky_Ad2194 Why so silent?

Started listening a week ago, and made it to episode 69 (Nice) as of writing this. Why is the last post from 4 months ago here?
Side note, Yashee is my favourite character. And I loved that she got to bond with Barbara and learn new skills. Tabitha might go with book knowledge, but Yashee goes with hands-on stuff. They beautifully complement each other.

2022.01.17 01:22 Then-Needleworker379 Triggered after finding stash of old letters from ex-lovers

I (33F) just found a bunch of old letters from former lovers / friends / family that my partner (33M) keeps in a stash. I did a bad thing and read one of them and found out that one of his relationships, the one he's described as having been the other most healthy relationship aside from us, ended b/c he was disloyal to her. He and I have had an issue early on in our relationship where he downloaded dating apps and texted women (a few months into us being exclusive) and although the behavior stopped, seeing this letter is so triggering to me. He never said he cheated on this partner, although admitted to infidelity in other situations.
I don't like the idea of these letters being around, and I'm even more frustrated at the content within them.

2022.01.17 01:22 rixx63 Over six years now - so many regrets

It's not getting easier. I have longer periods of being okay - finding a sort of balance between the shadows. We had 35 years together. No kids, just memories. Only us. I suspect anyone here can relate in their own way.
Cancer took her so fast. I left the hospice to deal with some details - there was no telling when the end would come, other than soon. I checked with the staff before I left, they were sure I had time. She was gone when I returned. I was not with her like I should have been. She did not want to be cremated, but because she died while undergoing experimental treatments in the US, I could not bring her home to Canada without the indignity of embalming and all the complications of the border. I still sleep with her ashes beside me. I hope she understands somehow.
I got 3 cats 3 years ago -- they give me so much comfort and company.
Watching the final season of Ricky Gervais' Netflix series, AFTERLIFE has really triggered me in several ways. Funny but raw and true; I relate to the story on many levels. One of the plot lines involves the revelation that he has not cashed the sizable life insurance (death insurance, truth be told) payment he received after his wife's death.
As timing and twisted fate would have it, our insurance needed to be renewed just as my wife became ill with the cancer that would take her within months. I met with the insurance broker who told me the policy would still be honoured, but of course, the payments would increase substantially -- $1500 a month. We had no money - massive debt - we had our home of 20 years on the market. Had she lived, we would have needed to drop the insurance anyway. The broker thought I was mad to let it go -- he even offered to personally lend me the money for the payments until our house sold.
Had I agreed, it would have paid out $300,000. But I let it go. To have kept it going felt like betting on her to die. I had not given it any thought until seeing the TV show tonight.
The house sold before I could get home with her ashes - when I returned I lived nowhere and had no life and the life we left behind was in a thousand boxes, thoughtfully packed up by friends. I am 65 now - retirement is impossible - I will need to work til I drop assuming I can keep my job much longer at my age. Am I a fool for letting that money go? Did I do the right thing or did I fuck that up, too?

2022.01.17 01:22 PlankWooden The Manga is getting stale

Ever since they started showing off Fushi's ability to revive the dead the story kind of gotten stale. The war arc in general was pretty bad because of how the revival thing pretty much made the deaths and sacrifices of Fushi's friends meaningless. I honestly would have preferred it better if the whole revival scenario wasn't a thing. What should have happened was Bon sacrificing himself so that Fushi can have a vessel and he see's his dead friends being with him the entire time, that would have been a better scenario in my opinion.
I also wanted the author to focus more on Fushi's struggles in being immortal.
