2021.11.29 21:27 _combat_sports_ MMA Movies Suck
All of them suck. The only decent one was Warrior and even that one made me feel shitty at the end.
Why can't they make a good MMA movie franchise like Rocky and Creed? I just want a simple plot with cool training montages and a fucking feel good ending that will inspire me and make me feel good. But all the MMA movies are cringe, dark, and make me feel worse at the end.

2021.11.29 21:27 ArgenTravis Linking the Trading Posts Doesn't Solve the Root Problem
This link details how the developers of EVE hired an economist at launch who immediately noticed an issue with the ability to land rush/speculate and independently derived what is known to economist as the Land Value Tax. This is applicable to New World in several ways
New World has had an issue with WW and EF being the prime locations, for various reasons, but we can say in general they simply have the greatest utility. The outer territories have had an issue even paying their upkeep, since they rely on taxes from crafting and selling in order to pay the upkeep and make it worth it to keep the territory.
As everyone knows, the devs linked all trading posts to "strengthen the economies less traveled territories, and ensure item availability in all territories." But this actually doesn't make the economies in the outer regions any better. Now some of the resources in the outer regions can be tapped into more quickly, but that reduces their price and since the tax is a % their tax is going to go down, even if they're selling more things.
What the devs don't understand, and what many politicians in the real world don't understand, is the economic benefit of location value and how to level the playing field. The solution is what I aluded to in the beginning, a Land Value Tax. A land value tax is different than a simple upkeep cost, which is a flat fee. A land value tax is a % of the assessed value, in this case, the differences in utility value between a high traffic'd territory and a low traffic'd one. How to actually calculate that value could be done many ways, but you'd want to capture the full utility of the territory - homes, storage, trade post, resources in that region, player activity, etc, etc, and that would be a modifier on that region's upkeep.
What this does is it captures the benefit that being in Windsward provides to the claim owner OVER having a claim in Reekwater (or where-ever). Which means the owners of the most popular territories don't snowball in wealth as a result. This creates more stable gameplay.
What this doesn't do is make people spread out (yet) and occupy the other territories. As people have mentioned, there are economic opportunities in transporting goods, harvesting resources, and living in those territories, IF you're willing. The problem is that claim owners struggle to provide the infrastructure necessary, because as they build better crafting stations, their upkeep goes up.
Another component of the Land Value Tax is that improvements are not taxed, only the utility value of the location itself. So instead of increasing the tax when you do something productive, like build a higher tier crafting station, the tax should not change. This would incentivize the claim owners to continue to develop their crafting stations without the fear that they'd make their own claim too expensive, which would encourage people to go and be there, trade, farm, etc.
One last thing that could be implemented, if spreading out and living in other territories was really desirable, would be a soft-cap on player-housing. Instead of having infinite instances, make it so that as players claim houses the house upkeep increases until some point when it goes up sharply (some percentage of the playerbase or something) In the case of player housing, it doesn't work like real land, since it isn't finite, but as a result every player can live in one territory if they really want. The only way to make people spread out would be to create this soft-cap as I suggested, with an LVT element in increasing the upkeep once you've reached some critical mass.
tl;dr - If the devs really want players to spread out and have robust markets in each settlement, make settlement upkeep scale based on that settlement's utility, rather than a flat rate regardless of which territory, and then stop increasing upkeep for upgrades. Finally, if that isn't enough, create a softcap for player housing where the upkeep increases steeply after a certain point to force people to have houses in other places.

If I were to buy mags out of state. Separate them from the base plate, from the spring, to the housing. And fly back is this legal? Assuming I also rivet the mag myself. Would TSA trip ?

2021.11.29 21:27 L4z4r0s Questions on the air arms tx200 mk3
I'm considering buying an air arms tx200 mk3. It seems to be a really beautifully made air rifle with excellent performance. However while reading about it, I stumbled across some threads on GTA and some British forums where people have reported various issues with the tx200
1) One of them (the most frequent of them) is that the safety is not always engaging when the gun is cocked.
2) Another one is that the anti bear trap is not always working correctly... and thus blocks the cocking lever from going back up.
3) The little rubber buffer in the shroud that prevents direct contact between the shroud and the cocking lever breaks off easily.
Most of these issues were reported in pretty old threads (the most recent one I found was from 2014).
While some of the issues had to do with user error (i.e; the anti bear trap blocking the cocking lever because the user didn't cock the rifle all the way back), some others have been quite prevalent on the tx200 over the years (like the safety not engaging properly on some models).
I just wanted to ask, have these issues been sorted out in some way? Does the safety issue have to do with user error and doesn't have to be fixed or has it been an issue that air arms has sorted out?
At first I was quite sure about the rifle but after reading about some of these issues I am quite sceptical/hesitant about it especially considering that it's a pretty expensive piece (the beechwood runs for about 750 € and the walnut version for about 825 €).
Any input/knowledge on these issue would be more than welcome...
Thanks in advance,
Stay safe out there!!!

2021.11.29 21:27 Laraujo31 Chapter 7
Filed for CH 7 a month ago (hearing is in 2 days). My cards have been canceled already but the personal loan i took out last year (through payoff) has not been cancelled yet, i was under the impression that this loan will go away like my cards. They are still calling me because of my late payments and i can still see the account online. Has this happened to anyone? Will they stop calling me after the discharge?

2021.11.29 21:27 hlkaMI_sAmA Idolatrized Even in Pieces: Stage 6 (Part 1 of 5)
| Hall of Haniyasu ~ Directionless Compass|
All pottery making existences here leads you to this peak.
The Mysterious Sea of Clouds was silent, except for Reimu's shooting noises. A castle-like structure can be seen in the distance. Stars w/ trails fell down from the top, w/ kaitentekis and yin-yangs shooting large orbs and lasers.
???: You are currently entering a place with very high difficulty concentration.
Lance Corporal Being the Greatest Masterpiece - Mayumi Joutouguu
Mayumi: Please turn back now, or I will be forced to send you back to where you belong!
Reimu: Afraid that this is not possible!
Mayumi then announced a spell called Loyal Art "Protection of Fantasy Deity's Connection"
Gray knives turn to the player's general direction. They also move very slowly so there is no need to bomb. Red arrows zigzag quickly like Tojiko's spellcard in Ten Desires, "Gagouji Cyclone" but stay at the top half of the screen. They are there to keep you from moving to the very top. Yellow lasers constantly point at you, and degrade into leaf bullets when the game sees fit.
Before Reimu's eyes were no longer the sea of clouds. She had entered the castle-like structure, namely the "Hall of Haniyasu"
Yin-yangs shot shard bullets in a spiral w/ 3 arms. These bullets then copied themselves and sped up, leaving the copies moving along. This formation is also seen at the very final part of Touhou 17, Stage 5 just before you meet Mayumi.
A line of ghosts flew by very quickly, shooting rice bullets and flew in random directions once the end of their track is reached. The rice bullets move quickly and reflect of the side of the screen. As the last rice bullet left the screen flame bullets appeared in their tracks.
A bigger ghost then shot random scales in all colors.
After a while, Reimu has entered the Hall's main chamber.
Reimu: Haah... haah... It's cold in here...
Reimu: All right. No matter who, when, why, where and how you are, COME RIGHT OUT!!!
Reimu: Still no reaction? Then...
Reimu: *clears throat* If you don't come out, these pieces of pottery will be damaged!!
Reimu: I say this clearly and loudly, buy hey, these creations are the best I've seen.
Reimu: *touches a still wet sculpture* Clay? *thinks for a second* Oh no, surely it must be the evil god...
???: Half correct.
