I love her a lot she’s beautiful but she doesn’t see it.

2021.12.03 18:57 trexalexa "Handmade" stuff is usually not as good

My gf loves etsy, she gets so much shit from there. It's trash and more expensive. I get that it's more "special" because someone made it, but that doesn't make the end product better, it just means it took longer and is more unique.
If you gave me two things, one was handmade and the other not, I'd take the one made by a machine.

2021.12.03 18:57 Zealousideal_Note471 Confidence of Americans in military continues to fall after Afghanistan withdrawal

According to the Ronald Reagan Institute’s annual national defence survey, confidence in the United States military has declined for the third year in a row. Concerns about military politicisation and the handling of the US withdrawal from Afghanistan were driving forces behind the drop in confidence.
For the third year in a row, the Reagan Institute’s national defense survey found that a decreasing percentage of its 2,500 respondents reported high confidence in the military, regardless of political, gender, age, or other demographics. There are also questions about trust in Congress, the presidency, the Supreme Court, law enforcement, the media, and other institutions in the survey.
“We have tested over the last three years a number of public institutions and institutional trust is declining overall in American society,” Rachel Hoff, the Reagan Institute’s policy director, told reporters Wednesday. “That’s perhaps not surprising, but the way that the military is falling so much more quickly than the other institutions, we think is notable, particularly in the light of the real understanding that the American people have about the national security threats we face.”

2021.12.03 18:57 DocFixit Abbasid Medical Centers in Team Games: Bugged(yes) and/or working as intended?

Just wanted to confirm something I dont see anyone talking about. So, Abbasid have a tech "Medical Centers" that make their keeps heal all units in a circle around them. I love it, combined with the all the bonus HP Abbasid can give their infantry and the high health of camels, makes for a very tanky army, works just as it says. However, I've noticed in team games that it does NOT heal teamates, EVEN THOUGH the heal indicator is showing. I've had teammates see the healing indicators pop up over their troops and stand their armies under my keeps THINKing they are getting healed, but no one gets a single bit of HP. Have to reach out in chat to say " free medicine 4 u sorry" I know you can heal team member troops with religious units, and the camel armor buff aura the Abbasid can tech into does in fact (tested and confirmed) apply to team member infantry, giving them +1 armor. So, heres the rub: is the bug that the healing isnt going thru like it should from the keeps? Or is the bug that the healing indicators are being slapped on when no healing of team member troops is intended by Relic. So glad Relic likes to give us such puzzles :). Do we think that keeps healing team member armies would be OP? Havent seen any posts about this bug, so Ill probably try and make an official complaint myself, just wondering is anyone else has considered this. Not that team games are really the balance priority xD

2021.12.03 18:57 TauvaVodder Recommendations for online writing classes that offer instructor feedback

I've taken a number of writing classes through the UCLA Extension Writing Center and was very impressed with the material taught, but more importantly that the instructors (all authors of numerous published works) gave detailed critiques of each student's work multiple times through the course.
Has anyone taken any writing classes where noteworthy instructors offered feedback on multiple submissions of works in progress?

2021.12.03 18:57 GreatZapper [Season rewatch] 2000 Season rewatch, week 6: 84th Indianapolis 500

Ray Edges Montoya For PPG Pole At Indianapolis 500 By Eric Powell,
Greg Ray took the final step in Indianapolis 500 qualifying on Saturday, narrowly edging Juan Montoya for the PPG Pole for the 84th Indianapolis 500 with a four-lap average of 223.471 mph.
Defending Indy Racing Northern Light Series champion Ray, from Plano, Texas, had qualified second each of the last two years at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. But he earned his first PPG Pole Award at Indy - worth $100,000 - during a dramatic run in 55-degree weather to knock Montoya from the top spot.
"I was flat out all four laps and grazing the wall," Ray said. "Anytime you want to be fast here, especially with the field as close as it is, you have to take all the downforce out of it (the car). With the cold tires, you just have to hold your breath and hang on. The man upstairs was with me through every corner."
Montoya ended up second at 223.372 in the #9T Target G Force/Oldsmobile/Firestone while Eliseo Salazar filled out the front row at 223.231 in the Rio A.J. Foyt Racing G Force/Oldsmobile/Firestone.
MBNA Bump Day qualifying starts at noon (EST) Sunday. The 33-car field will be set at 6 p.m. Sunday.
Defending CART champion Montoya claimed the provisional pole at 1:19 p.m. (EST). Montoya's run to the front came exactly 10 minutes after Ray pulled off the track just after starting the first lap of his first qualification run due to an ill-handling car.
At 3:49 p.m., Ray returned to the track for his second attempt and won the pole.
"The car wasn't capable of being a pole car," Ray said of his first run. "It's hard to get heat up in big staggered tires, and on the first lap I was committed into Turn 1 at 233 mph and the car went straight. I had to back off to keep it off the wall, and there was no point in continuing the run."
Ray's Team Menard teammate, Robby Gordon, qualified for the inside of the second row (fourth) at 222.885 in the #32 Turtle Wax/Burger King/Moen/Johns Manville/Menards Dallara/Oldsmobile/Firestone.
Scott Sharp, driving the #8T Delphi Automotive Systems/MCI WorldCom Dallara/Oldsmobile/Firestone, qualified fifth at 222.810, and Salazar's A.J. Foyt Racing teammate, Jeff Ward, qualified sixth at 222.639 in the #14 Harrah's A.J. Foyt Racing G Force/Oldsmobile/Firestone to round out the front two rows.
Two-time Indianapolis 500 winner Al Unser Jr. was the first driver to qualify for the Indianapolis 500. Unser averaged 220.293 in the #3T Galles ECR Racing Starz Encore Superpak G Force/Oldsmobile/Firestone, which provisionally places Unser in the 18th starting position.
Sarah Fisher, 19, also made the provisional starting lineup with a four-lap average of 220.237 in the Walker Racing Cummins Special Dallara/Oldsmobile/Firestone to earn the 20th spot. She will be the third-youngest driver in the starting field in Indianapolis 500 history if she maintains her spot in the field.
Twenty-three drivers completed qualification runs.
Track temperatures never climbed above 69 degrees due to chilly air temperatures and cloudy skies. The low track temperatures made it difficult for tires to warm up enough to gain traction, resulting in a rash of accidents. None resulted in driver injuries.
The #48 entry driven by Andy Hillenburg made contact with the outside retaining wall during pre-qualification practice, while drivers Scott Harrington, Jimmy Kite, Memo Gidley, Hideshi Matsuda and Lyn St. James were involved in accidents during qualification attempts.
Admission Sunday is $10 for persons age 6 and older, and free for children age 5 and younger.
The 84th Indianapolis 500 is scheduled to start at 11 a.m. (EST) May 28.

2021.12.03 18:57 aa1881 Port forwarding issues with a mesh network

Hey everyone, I am trying to setup a server for Conan Exiles, but the port forwarding is a bit of an issue, since I have a mesh network (TP-Links Deco M9) to improve my not so powerful router (Genexis Platinum-7840). I have setup ports, both UDP and TCP, with my PC's IP adress as the local host, and have added my mesh network IP adress to a DMZ in my routers settings. I believe it is still required to add the same ports seperately with my mesh networks IP adress as a local host, but it gives my the error message "Failed to configure forwarding" when I try to do so. I believe switching the Deco M9 to "Access Point" mode instead of "Wireless Router" mode should work, but I'd lose some features of the mesh network that I'd rather keep, so that wouldn't be ideal. I have looked through the guide to port forwarding on this subreddit and the FAQ on TP-links website, but to no avail. Is there any way I'd be able to solve this? Thanks in advance, aa1881

2021.12.03 18:57 Venemizer Was WoW better when it had a more simple grind system allowing you to play multiple characters more freely than doing chores and endless farming?

I started in Cataclysm and have played since. I'm not any casual player at all, having CE and being the top of the m+ ladder with my class on my server, but I've noticed on this subreddit most people usually refer to their favorite expansions being either TBC, Wotlk, MoP og Legion. I personally also prefered MoP but I did like others like Wotlk and Cataclysm. So did WoW really benefit from having a more simple grind system where you didn't get the feeling of daily chores after school/work and having to grind different systems for your ALTS afterwards.
What is your personal favorite and why? Was it the story like Legion with a big grind system but a really good story, or a more simple system where you'd only have to farm a legendary for a few weeks and that was it like in MoP. Enlighten me!

2021.12.03 18:57 MarketingSerious6874 Got Google STEP Interview request after accepting Facebook University offer

About a month ago, I got an FBU offer and accepted it a few weeks later. At that point, I had no idea I would end up getting an interview with Google. The offer deadline was November 30th, and now it is December 3rd and I just got an interview request with Google. I know both programs are good, but Google STEP seems better because interns are assigned to a specific project based on their skillset/experience rather than just some form of app development with FBU. I know there is no guarantee that I will pass the interview process at Google, but I think it would be a great learning experience since it consists of two technical interviews. With this being said, I have a few questions:

  1. Is there a substantial difference between FBU and Google STEP?
  2. Do I go ahead with the interview process at Google and if so, how do I address my existing offer with Facebook with my recruiter (an offer I already accepted)?

2021.12.03 18:57 Xamusel Fan Fiction and Original Fiction writer ahoy!

Hello everyone, I hope you're all having a good day. My name is Samuel, though Xamusel also works in cases like this. I am here as a writer looking to be hired.
True, I write Fan Fiction, but I am looking to branch out of it to be a professional author on my right. I'm hoping to work with whoever looks for fiction writers and write a decent manuscript for them.
Now, to be fair, I have a list of fandoms I prefer to write in that I'll be willing to share here if anyone requests it. For the moment, though, I will share both my FFN profile and my single original piece of fiction on Royal Road... to give you some idea of how I write.
FFN profile: https://www.fanfiction.net1145009/Xamusel-Gamma-11
Royal Road story:
My minimum price tag is $0.06 per word, though I will take a penny less if need be, to be fair. I take payments through PayPal. Just a heads up... and I also request that you pay me on a chapter by chapter basis. That's to make sure you like what I think is the way you want the story to go.
